Recognition From a Client βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
“Both the CalVet Home staff and DGS/Arcadis have relayed the great work the M&H crews have done in the public right-of-way during the installation of the Sanitary Sewer on California Drive…It was specifically noted by CalVet and DGS that M&Hβs work has been performed with precise execution, good communication, and courtesy to the public personnel and veterans. It was also noted that your traffic control crew has helped minimize the constraints to campus traffic through the work area. Your crews efforts, professionalism and attention to working safely have not gone unnoticed.”
– Paul Kangas, Rudolph and Sletten
McGuire and Hester’s Underground crews recently completed off-site sewer trenching on California Drive at the Cal Vet Facility in Yountville. This sewer alignment project provided an alternative to pipe bursting an existing sewer. Simana Moli and his crew installed 1,000 LF of 10β PVC sewer that ranged 6β β 8β deep. The alignment was in an active roadway that crossed the active emergency entrance to Holderman Hospital. Crews pre-potholed 21 known existing utilities and encountered 15 additional unknown utilities without incident. Work was performed with very bad ground conditions with traffic, and pedestrians in the area. The entire Yountville crew also passed the 200-day mark without a safety incident. Keep up the awesome work! π
Rocklin Excavation Crew Puts Safety First!
Javier Ramos and crew did an outstanding job of putting safety first when they came upon an unmarked fiber optic line, which if damaged would have spelled trouble for the surrounding community. This line was a directional drill with no visible signs of an existing trench.
While there was a spotter onsite, Miguel Ramos, who was operating, said that it didnβt feel right in that spot and that it felt softer than the rest of the area. Thatβs when the crew discovered the line.
Way to go team! πππ
Congrats on Retirement, Larry!
We have had some great employees retire in 2022! The latest is Larry Donegan, who spent a lot of time on road trips for us, serving as a Fuel Lube Driver at McGuire and Hester. Since retirement, his latest road trip was to Idaho, where he and his family are building a new home. We wish you the best of luck on your new adventures, Larry!
Party Time! π
Safety scratcher pizza parties take determination and teamwork to win. Congrats to our crew working out in Sacramento on Bell Avenue! They won by following safety protocols and collecting scratcher tickets as a team.
