The Human Resources Department has had a really busy first half of the year.
We have welcomed 53 employees to our family of companies. We welcomed our 8 new summer interns on June 27th with a BBQ. Many who attended the event had an opportunity to meet the interns and welcome them.

On the fun side, we were on the picnic committee with Kevin Hester. It was a lot of fun being able to spend time with many of you, and your families face to face.

For the 3rd quarter of the year, we are working on making our new hire’s onboarding experience a GREAT introduction to the company. In addition, we have put together an ad hoc committee to revamp our process. We are also creating a 30/60/90-day review process and ending with a 6-month check-in meeting in person.
Denise is strategizing how to put together a wellness fair for the fall. It will be fun and informative.

Molly has been attending career fairs at Cypress Mandela, Laney Community College, local high schools, and the Alameda Chamber of Commerce to expose students to jobs in our industry. As students are trying to decide what career path to take, it is the perfect time to expose them to the type of work we do and how they can become part of an amazing team.

Many of you have probably already had your quarterly check-in. This is an integral part of your work experience where you can have an open conversation with your supervisor and be an active participant in aligning your personal goals with those of the company. This is not a one-time deal. It is an ongoing, mutually beneficial process.
Growing and developing our people is key to HR.
Zeydi is participating in an ad hoc committee on this topic at Casey Fogli/CF&T. We are working on developing career paths for different types of jobs.
