Prescott Market: A New Chapter in West Oakland

Prescott Market stands as a powerful example of how thoughtful development and long-term investment can bring communities together. McGuire and Hester is proud to support this progress through its partnership with Circa ’26, our parent company’s investment arm, which backed the community-focused redevelopment in collaboration with SRM Ernst. Their efforts were recently honored with the “Putting Oakland on the Map” award by the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce at its 120th Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration.

Located at 1620 18th Street in West Oakland, Prescott Market officially opened its doors on April 5. The 12,000-square-foot food hall brings new life to a historic industrial site near Raimondi Park and offers a curated selection of Bay Area culinary favorites including Fast Times Burgers, Woo Can Cook, Pizzeria Violetta, Highwire Coffee, Café Noir, Prescott Meats & Deli, and an Almanac Beer Co. taproom.

Designed with the community in mind, the venue includes outdoor seating for over 200 guests, a children’s sandbox, and a full calendar of public programming such as farmers markets, trivia nights, and live music. It creates new opportunities for local entrepreneurs and residents while enhancing the neighborhood experience.

Prescott Market is part of a larger movement to revitalize and reconnect West Oakland. McGuire and Hester’s broader involvement in the area includes recent upgrades to Raimondi Park and continued support for the Oakland Ballers, who now call the park home.
