The holidays are always a special time at McGuire and Hester, and this year was no exception. From giving back to our community to dancing the night away, December was packed with moments that brought us together and reminded us of what this season is all about.
We kicked things off in the best way possible—by spreading some holiday cheer in the community. Partnering with Councilwoman Treva Reid (D-7), the Oakland Roots Sports Club, and an amazing group of volunteers, we helped deliver Christmas bags to 400 senior citizens at the East Oakland Senior Center. Seeing the joy and gratitude on their faces reminded us how much of a difference a little kindness can make.
On December 7th, we gathered at the Oakland Roots facility in Alameda for our Bay Area holiday party, and what a night it was! Laughter, good vibes, and a packed dance floor made it an evening to remember. In between the Bay Area and Sacramento parties, we also enjoyed a delicious tamale lunch, complete with horchata and jamaica. It was the perfect way to bring a little holiday flavor and warmth to the office.
Up in Sacramento, the team kept the holiday spirit alive with their party on December 18th. Between the games, great food, and lots of laughs, it was a fantastic way to celebrate a year of hard work and accomplishments.
As we close out 2024, we can’t help but feel grateful for everyone who made this year so memorable. From our incredible community to our amazing team, these moments of connection and celebration remind us of what it means to be part of something bigger.
