Priteshni Singh
Pri started as a temp at the front desk. She will be moving to M&H and becoming the Estimating Assistant to Mabel. While Pri was at the front desk, she quickly made an impression by always asking us for work to do. She completed the tasks quickly and correctly the first time. This quality impressed estimating so much, that they offered her a position.

Tommy’s dedication and passion to his role at M&H, along with his contagious upbeat, excitable teamwork attitude, are all contributors to Tommy’s promotion. Tommy has had his fair share of challenging Projects over the past few years BUT the “I can do” anything approach that Tommy brings to the Team is one that has shown to be successful in doing what it takes to get it done and that M&H appreciates. Congratulations, Tommy; excited to see what the future holds for you and the successes you bring in your new role as Senior Project Manager.
– Jeff Hoebel
Michael Laganowsky
Mike’s promotion to Senior Project Manager was earned not only from his team’s first project mindset, but also from his desire to work on M&H’s most fast-paced and complicated jobs, and success while on them. Mike has grown as both a manager and a mentor, all the while driving to build. Congratulations Mike.
– Matt Finley
Andrew Jenco
Andrew Jenco has been promoted to Project Manager (Operations). After some time helping spearhead our Sierra Point work (although I’m not sure he’s gotten his Top Project shirt yet), he’s now acting as a critical player delivering the monstrous UCSF-Parnassus project for Herrero-Boldt-Webcor. We’re looking forward to watching his career develop as that job evolves (explodes?).

-David Buffa
Isaac Jeronimo
Operations is pleased to announce Isaac’s promotion to Project Manager. Isaac has been assigned to our Seegert/PG&E project in Santa Cruz and was quickly asked to become the face of McGuire and Hester halfway through the project. Isaac took full control of the project and accepted the challenge without missing a beat. He quickly regained the trust of Seegert and PG&E, which has benefited us with dozens of change orders and new contracts at both the Santa Cruz and Alum Rock sites. Congratulations, Isaac, and thank you for your positive attitude, dedication, and determination while actually “living” the Santa Cruz project.
-David Buffa
Shannon Saliba
Shannon Saliba has been promoted to Project Manager (Operations). Shannon has lived, breathed, and probably dreamt about our Presidio Tunneltops project from the estimate through the opening day (7/16!), and her ability to work with and inspire a large and oftentimes contentious overall project team made it a success. She’s now transitioning over to our new Hathaway-Dinwiddie Vantage landscaping project (with some side gigs). We’re thrilled with the results at Tunneltops and look forward to what she can accomplish next.
-Jim Garnevicus
Nick Creber
We are excited to announce Nick Creber’s promotion to Project Manager (Operations). Nick was the first of two Nicks that made it easier to lose Brian Thompson to estimating, as he seamlessly took over a lot of our projects with Hathaway Dinwiddie in South San Francisco with many reports of both happy clients and happy crews. His ability to multi-task with a smile and adapt on the fly is a testament to how hard he works, and we’re very excited about both his (and our) future down in the area.
-Jim Garnevicus
Nick Spaht
Nick Spaht has been promoted to Senior Project Engineer (Operations). Nick has been a steady hand with a jack of all trades skillset on every job he’s worked on and did a great job most recently bringing our Doyle Drive project home successfully after Brian Thompson and Nick Creber transitioned off the project. Nick’s now linked up with Paul Zengel on our $12m Sunnydale project as well as other adjacent opportunities, and we count ourselves fortunate that he came back into the construction industry with us.
-Jim Garnevicus
Justin Hesse
Operations is pleased to announce Justin’s promotion to Senior Project Engineer. Justin has worked alongside Danny Robinson over the past year on multiple Google projects and McCandless Park. His can-do attitude is refreshing, and I look forward to witnessing his future career success.
-David Buffa
Mauro Ortega
We’re pleased to announce Mauro’s promotion to Senior Project Engineer (Operations). In a short period of time, Mauro has demonstrated great rapport with the client, craft, and fellow employees, and has absorbed a ton of knowledge to take with him moving forward. -Jim Garnevicus
Austin Eberle
I am excited to announce Austin Eberle’s promotion to Senior Project Engineer. Austin has proven time again that his dedication and passion for what he does is second to none. His exponential growth as a Project Engineer has been exciting to watch, and Austin’s Teamwork attitude is one that allows Austin to utilize the proper resources needed to help when needed. Austin’s continuous “ownership attitude” of his projects while working with Project Managers adds to the reasons why he is being promoted to Senior Project Engineer. Congratulations, Austin, well deserved!!
-Jeff Hoebel
Brian Huitt
Brian has earned his promotion to Senior Project Engineer by his effort on the job, the high bar he sets for himself when he is doing his work, and his ability as a communicator and project leader. We are excited to see what lies in store for Brian, if the past is any indication, it will be great.
– Matt Finley
Thomas Rached
Operations is pleased to announce Thomas’s promotion to Senior Project Engineer. Thomas rejoined the McGuire and Hester team a year ago and was assigned to projects around Stanford, where he just wrapped up the first phase of our Felt Lake project. Thomas was recently assigned to help manage our ongoing Truebeck and R&S projects at El Camino Hospital due to his previous knowledge of the site and clients. We’re excited to watch Thomas’s career development and how he’ll embrace the challenges ahead.

Congratulations and keep on keeping on Roger!

This speaks volumes about their work ethic and desire to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Now is the time to recognize the next step in their careers.
These are some of the hardest-working individuals I have had the honor to work with. Please stop by and congratulate them on their promotions. HLBS did lose some long-term team members last year, but the individuals still here and the new team members lead me to believe we will do some incredible things in the future.
– Louie Roessler
Rizwan
Rizwan’s new title is Accounting Manager. He joined McGuire and Hester in 2008 in compliance, making sure we had all the necessary paperwork from our vendors and subcontractors. After being promoted to Compliance Supervisor, he expressed a desire to get more involved in the month-end close and financial statement preparation. He will still be supervising compliance, Casey Fogli accounts payable, and receivables while assisting with month-end close.
Perla Gomez
Perla Gomez started as the accounting assistant for the resource department. Her responsibilities quickly expanded to supporting other departments within HLBS. She is now taking on the role of Compliance Specialist and will ensure all M&H’s subcontractor and vendor paperwork is in order. This position requires an understanding of our policies and laws and why we require certain documents. We are excited Perla is taking on this task and learning about these legal nuances.
Grecia Gomez
Grecia Gomez is moving from Accounting Assistant for M&H to the Specialist for Casey Fogli’s Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Grecia’s father is a long-term employee of M&H and she told me she remembers the huge holiday parties she attended when she was a child. Now, Grecia is learning about the fine art of collecting from our slow-paying clients, as well as processing all accounts payable invoices. It’s nice to see the next generation come in and work for this company.
Molly Hester
Molly Hester has moved from the front desk to HR Assistant. Molly is another next-generation child working at the same place as her older family members. We are very excited to see Molly take on the role and see her enthusiastic attitude and smile when helping at our employee and recruiting events. She has taken charge of assisting HR wherever needed and is a great addition to that department.
Denise Mercado
Denise Mercado’s new title is HR Generalist. She will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of HR, including staying current on labor laws and how it relates to our current policies and procedures, working with others to oversee the onboarding process, and becoming more involved in open enrollment and benefits management. Denise has really bloomed over the past few years and is ready for this new challenge.
Ivy To
Ivy To started as a temp in Accounts Payable. She made such a good impression with her work habits and knowledge that we decided to bring her on full-time as the Accounting Payable Specialist for M&H. She will be working closely with Nat Delos Reyes on inputting invoices and making sure our vendors are paid timely. She has a contagious laugh to go along with her great attitude.
