Building Better for the Future

June 2023

Over the last twelve months, the Casey Fogli and CF&T Leadership Team have been working to bolster our organization’s health. Aside from simply building a profitable business, this mission has focused us on creating better futures by providing meaningful work to those who love concrete as much as we do.

Earlier this month, the team came together at 8 Bar Ranch to reinforce this mission by focusing our energy on securing long-term stability for you and the organization. Our accomplishments during this two-day summit include the following:

  • The development of a 3-year strategic plan.
  • The construction of a road map for growth.
  • Fortifying our drive to moor the enduring legacy that HE Casey began in 1906.

As part of our 3-year strategic plan, we have implemented a blueprint to enlarge our client base, grow our scope of concrete-focused work, and create more employment opportunities for you and others wanting to join our work family. Our road map includes the following:

  • Fine-tuning our financial visibility
  • Developing our people systems so that we work more efficiently
  • Allowing the entire family of employees the opportunity to grow as the business grows.

As for fortifying the legacy of this organization, I am most proud of the leadership team coming together around stewardship. Like a north star, the concept of stewardship is not only that each one of us has committed to adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and dependability that have guided us to this point, but we have set expectations to continue along that path by placing examples for others and mentoring in those same principles. Each of us recognized that we had been entrusted in the care of Casey Fogli and CF&T through this period of its nearly 120 years of existence and have accepted the vocation of carefully and responsibly managing it for you and for the future of others who we anticipate will do the same.

To that end, it can not go without being said that in front of us is the largest backlog of work the company has ever seen. As we come out of one of the wettest winters in northern California history, this record-breaking backlog is our rainbow to restore the savings that have been exhausted by the rains.

Thank you all for enduring these difficult months. Please know your patience and willingness to stand alongside this company are appreciated as much as all of the hard work each of you has put into making this organization the premiere concrete company that it is and will be for generations to come.
