Putting our commitment to safety into practice, teams from the Sacramento and Oakland yards recently came together for our Spring Safety Round-Up. This wasn’t just another meeting; it was a hands-on experience focused on the core value of keeping every team member safe, healthy, and empowered on the job.

From interactive training stations to live PPE showcases from Milwaukee Tools, Empire Safety, Bullard, and 3M – DBI-Sala, our teams engaged with the tools, knowledge, and mindset needed to build safety into every task we take on. We were also proud to welcome Gabby and Sarah from the American Heart Association, who shared valuable guidance on nutrition and heart health, and even provided blood pressure screenings right on site.

Beyond the demos and education, we paused to recognize the field teams and individuals going above and beyond in their safety leadership. Your commitment to doing the right thing, even when no one’s watching, makes all the difference.

To keep things fun and rewarding, we hosted a raffle with great prizes generously provided by our vendor partners. From tools to safety gear, team members walked away with useful takeaways that reinforce safe practices on and off the job. Thank you to everyone who participated and congratulations to our lucky winners!

And of course, no McGuire and Hester gathering is complete without good food and good people. Shoutout to BBQ Pit Master Mike Hester and Bruce Daseking for keeping us fueled in the best way possible.
